The Town of Holden Beach is pleased to present the 2023 Day Camp Schedule for ages 6-12!
This year the Town will be offering several programs, including “Putterin’ Around” with a trip to Fantasy Isle Ice Cream, “Ahoy, Mateys!” a pirate themed day camp including a treasure hunt, and “Explore the Outdoors,” looking at the nature on Holden Beach! June 22- “Putterin’ Around”- a trip to Fantasy Isle complete with Putt-Putt and ice cream. Cost: $12 for residents, $17 for non-residents; Time: 11am-1pm
June 29- “Ahoy, Mateys!” – a pirate theme including drawing pirate flags and ships, learning about local pirates, and searching for treasure! Cost: $10 for resi- dents, $15 for non-residents. Time: 9am-12pm
July 6- “Explore the Outdoors” – Learn about Holden Beach from a nature per- spective while going on a nature walk, looking at plants and animals and decorat- ing your own insect! Cost: $10 for residents, $15 for non-residents. Time: 9am- 12pm
July 13– “Head in the Game” – This sports themed day will be a fun day of friendly competition and sportsmanship! Cost: $10 for residents, $15 for non- residents. Time: 9am-12pm
July 27- “Sliding thru Holden” – a trip to Magic Mountain, the waterslide park right off the island! Further details to follow.
August 3- “Tall Tales and Royalty” – What’s your favorite fairy tale? We will look at what makes a story, how they are passed down and so much more! Cost: $10 resident, $15 for non-residents. Time: 9am-12pm

Tide Dye
The Tide Dye program will be held on Tuesdays between 1:00 - 2:30 p.m. beginning June 13th and continuing through August 8th at the HB Pavilion under the bridge. Participants must be in line by 2:00 p.m. to participate because the process takes approximately 30 minutes to complete. There will be no program the week of July 4th. Fee is $7 per shirt for youth sizes through Adult XL and $10 per shirt for 2XL. Payment via cash or check only.
Children's Turtle Time
Children's Turtle Time will held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting June 28th - August 2nd. This program is designed for ages 3 - 6. There will be age appropriate crafts, stories and activities about sea turtles. This program is free of charge.
Turtle Talk
Turtle Talk will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, starting June 28th - August 9th. This free program is designed for all ages. HB Turtle Patrol members will share information on what they do to protect sea turtles that nest on our beach and share the life cycle of turtles.
